With both sets of parents in town this week I have been eating way too much food, more food than my body is used to, and way more than I should be eating. Matt and Sandi took us out to eat on Wednesday night at a Brewery in Park City and I got a burger. On Thursday we (the Berrett clan) went to one of our favorite Chinese restaurants, Saigon, and then to Spoon it Up for some frozen yogurt afterward. Friday afternoon my parents took Anthony and I out to dinner at this yummy Italian restaurant (Terra Mia, very authentic tasting, and pretty good prices too). Friday for dinner Nate and I went up to Bountiville to celebrate with the family for Sandi's birthday at an Italian restaurant, we both got personal pizzas and then we went to grandma Renee's after for German chocolate cake. Today, my mom and I went out to breakfast with Claire and her mom (the mom's have been FB friends for a while, but have never met, since they were both in town this weekend we thought it was the perfect time). And then dinner tonight was at Outback Steakhouse with the Berrett parents and the Garrett parents (and Nate and I). Our parents met for the first time today which turned out to be wonderful. Today we are eating dinner at my grandparents, which will be my first homemade meal since Wednesday, but Grandma always makes a lot, so I plan on being stuffed after that meal too. At least I feel semi decent about myself because I have enough leftovers for about 3 different meals, so maybe that means I didn't eat too much...?

Sandi threw a wonderful family  bridal shower for me yesterday with the help of her sister, mother and nieces. It was so much fun and I got so many of the things we registered for. It was a kitchen themed shower so I got our plate set, and our pots and pans set, etc. I got so many great things and it made me so excited to have our own little place. I just wish we could fast forward 2 months to having our own place now. I'm really anxious to use all our new things.

It really is so much fun to have had our parents in town this weekend, its sad to see them go. We said goodbye to the Berretts last night and will say goodbye to my parents tonight. We have been spoiled having both sets here. Next time we see them both will be for our wedding. I can't wait till then!

it's really happening. wedding plans to date...

My Mom was able to come into town last week and so we were able to go dress shopping. It was pretty fun at first, but I actually got tired of it pretty fast. Don't get me wrong it was really fun to try on dozens of beautiful dresses, but when you keep trying them on and can't find one that you just LOVE its frustrating. But then I found when that I loved. It was sleeveless, but that's totally remediable. Until the store calls you and lets you know that even getting the dress rush ordered and rushed shipped it still might not get there in time. The dress probably would've gotten there 2-3 weeks before the wedding, but then we needed to do alterations, and who knows how long it would take to add sleeves and sew up the back. I was slightly devastated, but decided we'd go another route. Until my mom got a hold of this woman who made my cousins dress. She saw a picture of the dress in a magazine and made it just how she wanted it. It turned out gorgeous. We didn't get a picture of the dress I had fallen in love with, so I drew a sketch as best as I could, and described the dress to her as well as I could. And well, I'm now having my wedding dress made for me. I'm thrilled because 1 the dress will be done on time but 2 it's going to be made just for me, just for my body, so it should fit brilliantly 3 it's going to be gorgeous.

The woman took my measurements and just from looking at my back, shoulder and shoulder blade she could tell that I have scoliosis. Last I had it checked I was about 13 or 14 years old and the doctor said it wasn't a problem because it hadn't gotten worse in a couple years. I hope that it's not worse now. I never knew it was bad enough that she would be able to see it, just with a few measurements. Apparently my left shoulder slouches down more than my right, which explains why some straps on things fall off on that side. Anyway, I thought that was interesting.

While my mom was here she also took me and we bought some of my temple clothes. The temple dresses I've seen usually aren't the most flattering, but I think the one I got is pretty. We also got a slip and shoes to wear inside the temple.

My mom designed a photo book of pictures of Nate and I throughout our relationship. It's going to be our guest book, and it's going to look amazing.

Nate and I took our engagement photos this morning. We took them at the Provo amphitheater castle and the mental hospital orchard. Who knew that the mental hospital had such a little treasure hidden back on the base of the mountains. I think it was a perfect location for our pictures and I'm so excited to see how they look. I bought an adorable new green dress yesterday and Nate got a new button up navy top. I wore a navy undershirt to tie the two outfits in and I think that it looked great together. We wore this outfit for most of our pictures. For a few pictures at the end Nate switched into a brown top, and I got in jeans and a blue top. Chase was wonderful enough to take our pictures for us, and he'll be putting them up on his website soon, so he can add to his portfolio. I had so much fun, though I think Nate didn't love it so much, he was still a good sport and showed his wonderful smile and gave me lots of kissies for the pictures. Chase said he should have the pictures to us by Friday, or so, and I just can't wait to see how they turned out. Oh, and the weather today couldn't have been anymore perfect for our photos. I'll post some of them as soon as I can.

Today I also called Brother Finnigan who is in my parents ward. He doesn't know me that well, but we've met a few times and his daughter and husband and kids our in our ward and they are wonderful as well. So I decided that, if I could, I wanted to have him as our sealer. He and his wife were mission presidents in New Zealand a couple years ago and they are just amazing people. He said he'll be able to do it and he put it on his calendar and everything. So I called the temple to let them know that he'll be our sealer and we'll all set.

We still have a lot of planning and  things left to do. But it seems to be coming along quite nicely... I can't wait to marry Nate and be sealed to him forever.
