Christmas Break

Sunday evening, Sandi made a delicious ham dinner with rolls and potatoes and invited the rest of the family over. My parents spent Christmas with Anthony and Jana (and Zoe) in Baltimore, so they came down and Sandi's sister Debbie lives in the area and came over with the her son Pete. We ate some delicious food and enjoyed each other's company, playing a few games and just chatting. We celebrated mine and Nate's 6 month anniversary as well, with a toast of sparkling cider.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that I'm actually married and other times it feels like we've been married for years. Of course we are learning new things about each other every day, and learning how to get along with our differences. But we are making it work spectacularly. I am so grateful for my wonderful husband, for all he does for me. He provides for our little family with our beautiful home, food, (Hopefully I'll find a job soon and can help with the monetary part). He takes care of me when I'm sad (like the end of last semester when I was so overwhelmed with all I had to do), by holding me and protecting me and helping me to be confident in myself. He is such a great husband and I am so grateful that he is mine.

It was so much fun to see how big Z-bean has gotten. She is even walking a few steps (though if its a farther distance, she thinks its much faster to crawl). She thought Strider (the Berrett's huge dog - he's a great pyranees) was hilarious and would crawl over so she could see him and would just sit and laugh and laugh.

The Berrett's got a new Cabelas' Wii shooting game. The wii controllers are put inside of a gun shaped casing and there are different locations and animals to shoot. Later in the week, Nate and I discovered there is a two player option that makes the game like an old arcade shooting game. That was my favorite because there were so many animals available to shoot, instead of having to search around to find a moose or something.

Most of the week was spent relaxing, playing games and just enjoying time with the Berrett family. However we did go to Baltimore on Monday and Taylor's Berrett and Harrison concert on Wednesday and Gettysburg on Thursday. (but posts about those will come later).

We're happy to be back to our home and with Aspen, but we wish our families lived closer so we could see them more often. Nate will return to work tomorrow and to school on Thursday. I'll be staying at home searching for a job.

Hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas break as we did. How was your Christmas break spent?
